Congratulations to Stephen Roberto for his long-awaited and well-deserved promotion for his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Roberto has been training for eleven years with Purebred Guam and has also trained abroad at the RalphGracie Academy, Purebred Japan, and most recently with BJJ phenom and co-instructor at the Purebred/Lloyd Irvin Jiujitsu Academy, Crazy Mike Fowler. Roberto is undefeated in Regional BJJ and Submission Grappling with an unblemished local record of 44-0. He has also gathered gold medals from the Philippines as well as 3 silver medals in the All-Japan BJJ Open.
Enson Inoue flew in with a contingency of other visitors from Purebred Japan flew into Guam to be a part of history as The Midnigh Fighter has become Guam’s first Home Grown BJJ Black Belt under Inoue and Fowler.
Congratulations and Good Luck in the long road ahead.

“Day one was great as the boys get ready for Day 2.Bert had a bye first round and lost by an advantage in a great high speed match in the second.
Joe went 2-1 with both wins by cross choke.
Terrance was 1-1 with a great arm bar in the first round.
Ben also went 1-1 winning that tough first round against a good judoka.
Razor, Wu, Mark had a tough first round in the absolute, but are ready for the weight divisions tomorrow!
Only one fight in my division. Win by armlock.We are off to bed…..Day 2 is the big day”

All right Here we go… Roque Martinez secures his position as PXCs heavyweight Champion with an outstanding TKO victory of Guam Heavyweight Hard Hitter, Manny “TheEnforcer” Chong in a very impressive 38seconds into the first round. Frank Camacho Defeats Ryan Bigler in a great display of Respect, Talent, and Strategy at PXC 13 on Guam but suffers his first KO loss in the Philippinesat the URCC Redemption on November 25th at the hands of Kaloy. Have confidence that Frank will be back. Good fighter. Great potential and an outstanding representative for Marianas MMA. For Life. Next on December 1st Guam Jiujitus players kicked ass at the International BBJ Tourney again in the PI and came hme with medals despite fraudulent reffing by the event organizers. Do we hear boycott? On the same day Jess Taitano fights for 3rounds against Professional Shooto’s number 2 ranked fighter Urushitani to a draw at Cage Force at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo Japan. Then on December 4th in Thailand Patrick Ayuyu earns a 3rd round KO victory (MuyThai Rules) over his opponent “TheSpaniard” at the Kings Cup in Thailand. Then on Decmber 9th Justin”TheShocker” Cruz will be at it again after a unanimus decison victory over Mike Limiac ony weeks prior to fighti Leo Tagacay at the Ring of Fire at the Araneta Stadium while Kelvin Fitial of Saipan takes a last minute fight of his Life against former UFC HeavyWeight Champion Ricco Rodriguez. While this is happening, Jiujitsu players from Purebred/LloydIrvin Jiujitsu are preparing for the first group contingency from Guam to compete int he All Japan BJJ turnament at the Tokyo Budokan. CONGRATULATIONS JAMES QUAN!
James Quan, of the CarlsonGracieJiujitsu Team makes History with his Gold Medal victory for the Purple-Belt Ultra SuperHeavyweight Division at the 2007 World Jiujitsu Championships at the Pyramid in Long Beach,California on August 25th, 2007. This was Guam’s first participation in the sport’s most prestigious international event. With several other victories from other Guam participants in the blue, purple, brown, and black belt divisions, Guam makes a large step forward in World BJJ.
