Hafa Adai! Its that time of year again when over 300 Islanders arrive in San Diego to partipate in one of the biggest 2 day Island Heritage Festivals on the West Coast. Its realy overwhelming to see that a good 50% of the people representing at PIFA are from Guam. Being from Guam too, it realy makes us feel the pride of our Island. This will be FOKAI’s 3rd year participating in PIFA. Its also the year of FOKAI’s 10th Anniversary (Officialy on 10/08). Since this year is a special year for us we have decided to activate the FOKAI media team (a.k.a. THE EFFECT). If you’ve been keeping up with Fokai blog page then you know what The EFFECT is. If not, breifly its a short segment that we do to give people closer look into the things going on in the world of FOKAI. Since The EFFECT is going to be on the scene we are calling on everyone to come out in full force rocking your favorite Fokai shirt. At the end of each day we will be taking a Fokai Familia & Freinds pic for the Fokai Blog. SHOOT! See you there! PIFA INFO. Ski Beach, San Diego, September 27th & 28th, visit www.pifasandiego.com

To Whom It May Concern:
I saw a car today that had a sticker on their back window saying “Fuckai Familia” in scriptive writing in 91914 (where I live). I am curious why someone would put their car instead of the proper “Fokai Familia” which means “Pacific Islander Festival” according to your website?
Is “Fokai Familia” a cult/scam? Thank you for your time?

Fokai familia is not a cult, nor a scam. Often people have a strange sense of humor , often a strange sense of taste. though sometimes we may not agree, we must attest that beauty is in eye of the beholder…please visit our about us section on http://www.fokai.tv or type familia into the fokai search engine, for more insight and info into what were really about. Thanks for the concern. much appreciated
