James Quan, of the CarlsonGracieJiujitsu Team makes History with his Gold Medal victory for the Purple-Belt Ultra SuperHeavyweight Division at the 2007 World Jiujitsu Championships at the Pyramid in Long Beach,California on August 25th, 2007. This was Guam’s first participation in the sport’s most prestigious international event. With several other victories from other Guam participants in the blue, purple, brown, and black belt divisions, Guam makes a large step forward in World BJJ.

GroundZero,TheBuzzCafe,and Grasshopper are introducing the Duendes (Youth) Division for competition Brazilian Jijujitsu.
The MarianasOpenBJJ/SubmsiionGrappling Tournament will be held at thePhoenixCenter on Saturday, July 14th,2007.
The event aims for better infrastructure for Guam’s fluorisihing Brazilian Jiujitsu and SubmissionGrappling Community and will be the first of many to support and qualify local grapplers for international tournaments.
Brazilian Jiujitsu Black Belt “Crazy”Mike Fowler will be on hand as a referee and council.
