Onra:Higher.Faster.Stronger.
Hafa Adai,
Altius.Citrius.Fortius. Higher.Faster.Stronger. The2008Olympics. Is over and representatives for and from TeamGuam will be with us to share their stories
Of the incredible performances of the largest assembly of the worlds greatest athletes.
Congratulations and welcome back for Ric Blas Jr and Maria Dunn. We are very proud and honored That you worked and sacrificed so hard to wave our flag proudly in your rightful place among the world giants in the FarEast.
After capturing our frst world championship in submission grappling, Some exiting times for us in GuamBJJ Congratulations to Luis Reyes of theGuahanTopTeam for his 6submission victories to a silver medal finish at the DesertStorm Gi and No-gi tournament in Arizona on August 16th. Guam’s new resident BJJ Blackbelt and head Jiujitsu Instructor at the PurebredJiujitsuAcademy has released into the world market his long-awaited instructional DVD with a large emphasis onGuam and his decision to relocate here
With Fowler’s signature commitment to Guam BJJ,The DVDrelease of “HafaAdai” is an excellent step forward in our islands fusion into the fast lane of competititve world Jiujitsu and another card up our sleeve in the progress of Guam Sports Tourism.
The2008MarianasOpen Submission Grappling and BrazilianJiujitsueTournamanet.is only 2 days away. MikeFowler will headline the event as one half of the events featured superfight to hopefully come back from 2decission-losses against Daisuke “Amazon” Suge of Japan.
After reading throught the headlines of the PDN and following RJ Blas and Maria Dunn n line, its not difficult to often recall them close to a decade ago in training. It brings the realization that we are in the next generation and next level of Guams investments in combat sports.. The last couple of years have been exciting for us and our islands. We have so much to tell and some pretty cool experiences t share as fans, promoters, and/or performers. The reality of it is that our kids will have even more..
Thee really is a lot of serious talent in our youth and some remarkable skill in our adults. It seems with every advancing grappling event, talent is getting better and competition is getting tighter..Competitions a great way to get the island more tuned as a whole so that we all have a better understanding of where and how our flag really stands in performance comparisons in international competition This structure has improved in us the ability to look past victory and defeat over others and to be able to celebrate the will for sef improvement in the commitment to sacrifice as well as the inititiative into competition.
So long as we realize that greatness can live even in the absence of great competitive results: the pursuit of progress and performance, reminds us that there is a light for lessons for everyone in athletics that, with all due respect, burns even beyond the Olympic Flame.
Thanks for dropping by.
